I have always been a big fan of keyboard shortcuts.

Using shortcuts means that you don't have to take your hand off the keyboard to grab your mouse, especially while doing things with your keyboard.

So here are some useful keyboard shortcuts you can use with IE, (Internet Explorer). If having used shortcuts in "MS Word", you will no doubt be familiar with some of these shortcuts 

 

KEYS TO PRESS: USE THESE KEYS TO:
CTRL + A Select all items on a webpage

CTRL + C

Copy a selected item
CTRL + V Paste what you copied with Ctrl + C
CTRL + D Add current page/document to your favorites
CTRL + E Open the IE search utility
CTRL + F Open the FIND box
CTRL + H Open the History utility
CTRL + I Open the Favorites utility
CTRL + L (0r O) Go to a new location/document
CTRL + N Open a new Internet Explorer window
CTRL + P Print the current page/document
CTRL + R Refresh the current page/document
CTRL + S Save the current document/page
CTRL + W Close the current Internet Explorer window
Ctrl+Shift+Esc Opens Task Manager
   
Alt + Home  Go to your homepage
Alt + Right Arrow Go forward one page
Alt + Left Arrow Go back one page
   
Windows key+T Cycles through programs on the taskbar
Windows key+U+U Shuts down the computer
Windows key+U+R Reboots the computer
